Hi, I’m Lucas.

Software engineer · Seattle, WA

I’m a software engineer in Seattle. I like making useful things, especially AI tools that help with everyday life.

Over the past ten years, I’ve built products at Amazon, AWS, and DoorDash. Most recently, I prototyped and led engineering for the grocery agent in Ask DoorDash, launched in June 2026. It started with a grocery-shopping project I made for myself.

I’m still building for fun: tools for groceries, workouts, travel, and thinking through ideas. Away from a keyboard, I like hiking and camping.

Grocery shopping MCPStory
An agent for my weekly grocery run. It finds Kroger/QFC products, plans around the pantry, and builds a cart I can review. This is the project that inspired my Ask DoorDash pitch. Source for Grocery shopping MCP
System Design CompanionStory
A whiteboard for thinking through system designs with an AI drawing alongside me. We share the same canvas, and version history makes it easy to try an idea and undo it. Source for System Design Companion
Lucas PluginsStory
A small collection that keeps my grocery, workout, travel, repository-maintenance, and whiteboard tools together. I can bring the same tools to Claude Code and Cursor without setting each one up by hand. Source for Lucas Plugins
